If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often.
I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.
Very cleverly chosen! So, if you tat 6 with the darker thread added, you will alternate the motifs, yes, and it will all look very on purpose? Brilliant!
I love this game !!! From close perusal, all I can come up with are these : 1. thread colour - solid or very subtle shade in 1st , & a darker contrast with black hue in 2nd 2. the centremost tiny rings look just a bit further apart/open in 2nd one than in the 1st one.
Are they made with different threads? The one on the right is definitely made with a shaded thread. The one on the left I think is solid; I see some slightly darker patches on it, but they look more like shadows from the motif not laying quite flat on the scanner.
Is that it? I don't see any differences in the tatting, although I can't enlarge it enough to see the individual stitches.
I can't see any difference, except that the first seems a tat wider less string space than the second. I don't know if that is what you are going for :) other wise they seem the same to me.

ReplyDeleteOh, I see now it is variegated. I thought you added a dark purple to the existing purple. Great match.

The motif on the left is using one solid color. The one on the right uses a variegated thread for the outer round. Is that right?
ReplyDeleteThey look almost identical to me!! :)

ReplyDeleteBoth motifs are exquisitely beautiful! The one on the right has darker variations in the color of the thread. That's the only difference I could see.
ReplyDeleteAll I really see is a variegated thread on right
ReplyDeleteThe one on the right appears to be a variegated thread while the one on the left is a solid? Very nice!
ReplyDeletevariegated thread on the outer round of the motif on the right....
