150 years Singapore Botanic Gardens Stamp Issue
An old colonial bungalow with a gazebo among lush greenery and surrounded by orchids, heliconia blooms, 'girl on a swing' sculpture and flying swans. What a lovely place. The Singapore Botanic Gardens celebrates 150 years. The first rubber tree in South East Asia was planted here. Such pretty stamps, but I will use them.

July 2009 giveaway
I made 9 puzzle pieces for exchange in Pat's Puzzle Swap (Pieces of Friendship). It was so addictive that I made one more and thought it would be nice to offer this one as July's giveaway. It measures 4 by 4 inches. Just leave a comment before 23 July 2009 and your name will be placed in a draw.

Square Diamond Motif Joined
Jeff Hamilton of Bridge City Tatting did not name this pattern of his. I call it a square diamond. I really like it alot. I made three earlier in three different colours. This one is variegated purple, four motifs joined. I could continue but my ball of thread is insufficient for more. This is done in Manuela cotton 20 in #206.

My i robot
Cleaning the house just got easier with this i robot roomba. Finally got one last weekend. It is much quieter than my Rainbow and Umi does not run and scatter when she hears the i robot. Tsuru's tail nearly got sucked in but she ran just in time. It is a great help and although I guess I must bring out my Rainbow once in a while, the i robot does most of it in an hour. After the vacuuming is done, mopping is much easier. I am also getting use to the Japanese flat mop with the microfibre cloth. I think everyone is happier.
