Frangipanni

It was outside a train station and
I was waiting for a ride when it started to drizzle.
The pinkish red flowers were brightly calling out to me to capture its beauty.
And so I did.

Tat-a-Renda's Tat Along

Thank you Jon Yusoff for this pattern. I missed it on Facebook but Margaret so kindly alerted me and sent me photos. She knows I do not have a Facebook account and wanted to share. I was most grateful.

Also found out that Fox is tatting it and posting on her Instagram account. Please check that out.

I am using Lizbeth Size 40 in Col.179 Herbal Garden. I noticed that my last split chain looks horrendous. I will try to correct it. It must be those late night tatting. Sleepy then, but wide awake on the bed.

Art Around Raffles Place

These days, I need glasses to read on my phone, the same goes with framing my photos. What with the sun shining brightly, I did not do a good job here. But I am certain you can get to view better photos than these ( and more) on the web. Just search with those keywords.

Ranunculus Doily 1 Completed (LHO 15)

Completed!

Another pattern from Lee Hye-oon's book Lovely Tatting Doilies for Spring and Summer. Tatted in Lizbeth Size 40 Col. 681 Pistachio Green Light.

Somehow my chains are longer and this resulted in a doily that is more airy and open.  Perhaps if you like to tat this, keep your chains compact and if you use two colour threads as in the book on page 44, it makes an interesting effect.

Beetle Exhibit

There was an insect exhibition at one of the shopping mall I visited. I thought this was beautiful. They used the beetle to make this. Enlarge photo to have a look. They also had a butterfly aviary. It was outside and on that day the temperature was 34 degrees C and humid so I did not visit.

Coffee at Muji

We were looking for a place which was not crowded to have an afternoon coffee. This was a pleasant find. After or before having something at the cafe, you can browse and shop. I found a very nice oval bamboo dustbin. I did not get it though as I am trying not to buy unnecessary things unless it is jewellery.

Cupid's Heart

Since I had Teri Dusenbury's book out, I wanted to tat one more heart. This was done in a few parts too. I wanted to put it on a coaster but it seems too large for the coaster I have. Perhaps onto a card. I think my pattern choice was influenced by the Pandora Valentine's Day 2019 collection with Cupid, hearts and arrows.

Tatted in Altin Basak threads in Size 50 in red Col. 328 and metallic gold Col. 2351.

Pandora Sparkling Arrow Necklace

This was the gift with purchase from the Valentine's Day Pandora promotion. It is not for sale here and you can only get it during that period leading up to 14 February 2019.  It is dainty. I wish the cubic zirconia was on both sides of the arrow as the necklace will roll over and show its back. But it is still pretty. It is 60 cm in length and you can adjust it to wear at 3 different lengths.
