One of the places we visited in Portugal was Fatima. This is the site where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to 3 children in 1917. More about the Sanctuary here.

You always have me running to do more research! Wonderful photos and info! I have to say that modern architecture doesn't impress me as much as that from the 'old world'!
