If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often. I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.

Chamomile Doily 2 (LHO 13)
My doily does not look like the photo in the book because I left the bare thread gaps too large. But I love it anyway. Tatted in Lizbeth size 40 threads in Col. 605 Silver. This pattern can be found in Lee Hye-Oon's book Lovely Tatting Doilies for Spring and Summer on page 79.

These bamboo orchids look lovely. They were swaying in the wind but they stood still for a while when I took the photo 😊.

Just one of many
This is the Christmas tree at Raffles City.

We received this card a few Christmasses ago. It is such an amazing and intricate creation. I thought I would share this with you. It also closes flat and I just love the elegant neutral colours.

Designing A Christmas Bracelet WIP
These are the 3 Pandora charms I have that are ideal for the Christmas season. From left: Christmas ornament (2018 limited edition), Perfect Christmas dangle and the Red enamel pinecone charm (retired). I need to add more charms to fill the bracelet . . . . . or not?
Did you see the phrase on the dangle?
"It's not what's under the tree that matters,
It's who's gathered around it."

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 20
I caved and got the Pandora Rose Happy Reindeer. Here it is on the Pandora Rose bangle with the Ice formation clips and the Hearts of Pandora Spacer. One to stack for the holiday season.

More Flowers Galore
I love these bouquets. Ready for a vase and some make excellent dried flowers.

Chamomile Doily 2 WIP
Started on this pattern by Lee Hye-oon in her book Lovely Tatting Doilies for Spring and Summer on page 79. Just finished tatting Rounds 1 and 2 in Lizbeth size 40 threads Col. 605 Silver. There are two more rounds to tat.
As usual needed a distraction while tatting the last round of WIOSNA 2018. It should be completed before Christmas.

These roses are probably from
Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.
Look at how they are packed and protected.
They must be from further afield from Europe.
Blue and multi-coloured.

Night Sky Charms
I wanted to design a Pandora bracelet with these charms; Pave sphere (to symbolize the moon), vintage night sky dangle and the Wishing star charm.
I will probably need other charms for this bracelet like the Dazzling fireworks, Galaxy spacers, Cosmic stars clips, Blue geometric facets, Night sky charm and Galaxy openwork charm.

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 19
I call this my Space Odyssey bracelet. When I first saw Cosmo Tommy, I loved that charm but I wondered if I should get it. I thought about how 'age inappropriate' he would be for me. But I think I need his influence - "Cosmo Tommy has an adventurous spirit and big dreams which he shares with those around him, inspiring them to try new things."
Here he is on my Pandora oxidized silver bracelet with:
(from left) Starry night clip, Planet of love (seosonal), Personal galaxy safety chain, Cosmo Tommy, Celestial Mosaic and Big star pave clip.

Last week, I went with friends to the cut flowers wholeseller to get flowers for a friend's MIL’s 80th birthday. I have not been to this place in years and it was so much fun to walk through the cold room where all the flowers were stored. What was so enjoyable? Seeing so many beautiful flowers in a cool environment. Oh yes!
I do not know the names of the two flowers above but I just love the purples. Veronica and Liatris? So much variety and everything is imported except for some orchids. I should have slowed down and looked at the names on the price tags.

Our friend was home from Shanghai and we had to go get some local dishes to whet her appetite. We had lunch at a Nasi Padang place. We ordered rice, beef rendang, sambal sotong, kurma chicken, fried selar fish, sayur lodeh, fried ladies fingers and mee rebus to share. I know, plenty for 3 people.
There is only a photo of mee rebus to show you because we gobbled the rest before I remembered to take a photo. It was delicious although the mee rebus was a little too sweet for my taste. I preferred the mee rebus in Johor Bahru.

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 18
This week I decided to wear the Pandora Open Bangle with the new String of Beads silver charm in the centre. The surrounding glass beads are not Pandora but they are from a talented glass artist from Russia. I just love the colours of the glass beads.
