I was germinating these seeds for a friend. He was telling me how his seeds never germinated. I was remembering how grandma used to plant them. Remove the seeds from a ripened gourd and sun them. Peel away the red pulp and plant them. That is what I did and these germinated readily. They will be passed on to him soon and hopefully they will grow into male and female plants so that he will be able to harvest some organic bittergourd for his dinner table.
