Hoop-la Edging
This is a fun pattern to tat. I took a page from Mary Konior's 'Tatting in Lace' book and tatted this up using some left over thread on the shuttle. I wanted to try it before deciding to edge a hanky with this pattern. I like it and will do this in white to edge a hanky. Will post when it is done. Wish me luck!

I like this a lot! Once again we are on the same wavelength.
ReplyDeleteI was in a dollar store yesterday and spotted two small hankies ( I NEVER see hankies in that store) hidden away on a shelf. They are quite patterned and pretty, if a bit busy, and I have been wondering what edging would be suitable and... there you are today! Funny!
If I have the courage to start yet another hanky border, this might just be the one!
Fox : ))
that is pretty. are you going to do it single shuttle with a carry thread along the back? or 2 shuttles with split rings and rings thrown off the 2nd side?
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! Looks like a shuttle only pattern. I wonder why I didn't notice it before? I'd better pull my book off the shelf.
ReplyDeleteLovely edging, Should look lovely on a hanky
