Simple Bookmark

I wanted to do something simple and relaxing. I saw this on Jane's blog here and put it on my 'To tat' list.

I was attempting my next pattern on the 'Tatting Together Square Motifs' book and was frustrated with the mistakes I was making so I switched to this one. I think it is a great pattern to show off the color changes in variegated threads. This one is tatted in Lizbeth 40 Country Kitchen, #160. Try it! I am going to tat another.

  1. I love this bookmark pattern. It one of the few patterns I have memorized and the more I've done it the better I've gotten at split rings.

  2. This is one of my favourite bookmark patterns.

Might I ask how big it is in size 40?

  5. I have to confess, I am addicted to "Country Kitchen". I don't know why it appeals to me so, I did all my tatting in that color scheme for about 3 weeks. Then, I had to hide the remaining ball. ;)

That is a very pretty bookmark. I have never done it. Now I will put it on my list.

    Thank you for sharing!

  7. Aha - this one I like much better! I think I tatted this in two colours, not using variegated thread... I will check...
