Tatted Square doily
This pattern is from my Japanese Book 'Tatting Lace'. I posted it here last December. The top doily (5 inches across) is tatted in Yarnplayer's Pizzazz Size 30 and the lower doily (4 inches across) is tatted in Yarnplayer's Bronzed Rose Size 80. Blocking is a lot to be desired. I should get a proper grid to pin the tatting down.

I love both Yarnplayer's PIzzazz and Bronzed Rose and I just so happen to have them in the same sizes you have your pieces displayed in here. I have to say (even though you didn't ask my opinion, LOL) that I am partial to this particular pattern in the bronzed rose. I have a huge skein of it (200yds) and I have no Idea what I'm going to do with it yet, LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteI"m sorry; it's 5:39am here and I'm a little groggy, LOL! I didn't mean to go on about me and our twin thread supply, LOL! I also meant to say that you did an awesome job on both and they both look gorgeous. Lovely stitches. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth very nice. I sometimes find difficulty blocking my doilies too. I like the reds more. I wanna see more... more...
ReplyDeleteHello Wendy, It is always a joy to seeing your tatting creations. Of course I love the shades of pinks and green one they are my favorite colors. Hugs Judy
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice pattern and you tatted them beautifully. I love both of the threads. Pizzazz is one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Especially the red doily.
ReplyDeleteI tatted the bronzed rose first and yes Tatting chic I prefer it too. It looks more delicate. The colour is really unique. I am currently making bookmarks, Valerie. Will post one soon. I love pinks and greens too, Judy. I thought the pattern was pretty unusual. I love that it is a sqaure, rather than round, Tattycat. Welcome HJ.
