If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often.
I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.
While browsing Elizabeth’s Tatted Lace, I found this lovely tatted daisy with the link here. I could not get the length of my chains uniform so it isn’t as pretty. Elizabeth added beads at just the right places.
You did a nice job. This piece seems to be quite the learning piece for many in regards to tension. I think I am too embarassed to show mine, LOL! I did a pink one last year!
I love this daisy too...a very good practice for chainwork. Tatskool had some really cool color and bead combinations for this motif too back when everyone was tatting it.
The longer the chain, the harder it seems to be to get them all consistent. I think it's one of those pieces that you have to tat from start to finish in one sitting. If you lay it down and come back at another time, your tension is likely to be a little different.

ReplyDeleteI wish I had tatted it with all of you. I wonder if it would help to measure the chains before I lock join, especially the last round of chains.
