Tsuru has a new water bowl. Got it from H&M home. It was on sale for RM10. She has been drinking from the same two rice bowls since she was a kitten and she prefers the bowl in the air conditioned room than the one in the kitchen. Water must be more delicious cooled.
If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often. I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.

Moonstone Bracelets
Tiny charoite barrel beads with fresh water pearls, hill tribe silver charms and beads, with faceted grey moonstone as the focal point. You could stack these together on your wrist or pair them with other silver bracelets.

Annabelle Doily 1 (LHO7) Completed.
The mistake has been corrected. I may not continue to Doily 2 of this pattern because it is quite a large doily. I do like the colour of this Lizbeth Size 40 thread in Col. 156 Juicy Watermelon. If I do continue, I would change the thread colour to a light green. Should I? I do want to make some more stretchy bracelets. We will have to see.

Fried Koay Teow
The secret to this dish is the soya sauce used and the temperature of the wok. It is not a dish for the health concious but having it occasionally whets the craving. This is the Malaysian version. We had this recently at a hawker near where we used to stay in Kuala Lumpur. The Singapore version is fried with sweet black soya sauce instead.

Red Cattleya
An orchid bloom in my sister's garden. Mom was quite proud of it because she is the one who applies fertiliser each time she visits. She said it was the first flowering since growing it from a small plant.

Annabelle Doily 1 WIP2
I circled where it went wrong. I tatted one too many trefoil. Only realized it when I was pinning it for blocking. Now I have to cut and remove one repeat and join the chain correctly. This is what happens when you are not paying attention and watching too much K drama.

More Clover Shuttles
I received this in the mail from a generous friend the day after the Clover shuttles blog post. Wasn't it such a coincidence. Now I have more shuttles to play with.
Thank you C.

Clockwise from 11: Fried cuttlefish turnip, barbeque chicken, steamed rice, grilled stingray fish and sambal petai with prawns (centre).
I had lunch with my mom and sister in Kuala Lumpur last weekend. It was a girls' shopping day out. The mall was crowded that Sunday as many were out shopping for Hari Raya.

Rice Dumplings
It is chang season. These are called kee chang. Glutinous rice dumplings which are eaten with sweet palm sugar syrup. Have not had these in years. Bought 10 dumplings to try. The savoury rice dumplings with filling can be found all year round but these are only available during this season on the 15th day of the 5th month in the Chinese calendar.
