If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often. I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.

Freshwater Pearl & Ruby Bracelet
The ruby briolettes were bought in Bangkok years back. It came in a long strand and it was quite pricey. The tiny faceted beads in between the freshwater pearls were from the local bead shop. As you can see the colour of the tiny beads are light pink compared to the briolettes.
Anyway this is an unusual way to use the briolettes but I like how it turned out. Another bracelet to add to my collection.

Tatting for Nectar 7
I think one more of these will complete this project. This one is tatted in Milford Mercer Size 20 Sunshine and Lemon. At this point, tatting this is therapeutic.

Pandora Bracelets of the Week 7
Pandora Moments Silver Bangle with Pandora Rose clasp.
From left to right: Pandora rose dazzling daisies clip, Silver shimmering lace charm, Pandora rose filled with romance charm, Royal blue nature's radiance charm, Pandora rose heraldic heart charm, Silver glittering shapes charm and Pandora rose dazzling daisies clip.
Pandora Moments Silver Open Bangle with logo caps.
From left to right: Abstract silver with faceted royal blue crystal charm, Aqua heart charm and another Abstract silver with faceted royal blue crystal charm.
Two bangles stacked together. Strong colours give the bangles focus. I think it is a nice contrast with the silver and the Pandora rose. Although blue is not my favourite colour, I seem to have many blues in my wardrobe. It should match very well.
Both the aqua heart and the royal blue nature's radiance charms are stunning. It was love at first sight for the aqua heart but the royal blue nature's radiance seems to grow on me.

Freshwater Pearl & Spinel Bracelet
I made this stretchy bracelet for myself. I prefer wearing stretchy bracelets on yoga days. It is more comfortable and east to take off and put back on. Love the colour of these freshwater pearls. I must have bought this strand from the beading shop years back. I have a lot of beading supplies from that time. The tiny black faceted spinel was a new purchase. I also got some sapphire, ruby, ruby zoisite and amethyst faceted beads to play with. They are really tiny (2-3mm) but quite pretty. Whenever I see them, I can only imagine how the tiny beads are being faceted.

I think the black petals really stand out and it will go with any colour background. My project continues.

Snacking
Snacking is not good. But this should be healthier than my favourite Lorenz balsamic vinegar potato chips. Or is it? Perhaps just stick to carrots or oats.

Tatting for Nectar 5

Nyonya Kueh
This is an unusual rendition of ang ku kueh. I posted it here sometime back. Instead of it being red with green bean or groundnut filling, this is green with shredded coconut. I love it and try to buy it whenever we are near the shop.
This one brings me back to childhood days when it was one of my favourite nyonya kueh to have. It is called lumpah udang. Glutinous rice with dried prawn floss wrapped in banana leaves and roasted.

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 5
I used only two Pandora charms here. I guess it makes my bracelet a little different. This time I added the obsidian bead on both ends with a faceted black Swarovski crystal as the focal bead. The Pandora charms are Longevity lock charm (left) and the Brilliant heart bow charm (right)

Elizabeth Doily 1 (LHO 9)
I had a hard time blocking this. I wonder if I will continue with the pattern. It does look pretty. I used a ball of thread from Victor Crochet Cotton #40 in cream. The pattern is from Lee Hye-oon's book Lovely Tatting Doilies for Spring and Summer on page 91.

Australian Violets
I got this from the gift shop during my last visit to Gardens by the Bay sometime in March 2018. It has been growing pretty well in my balcony. I thought I would show you it's tiny blooms. Not showy but still pretty isn't it? It came labeled as Viola hederacea.

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 4
Another configuration this week. I find the open bangle is the easiest to change out. Mixing and matching the charms was quite fun. This is for a more elegant look with the cubic zirconia charms.
From left to right: Primrose silver clip, Dazzling daisies spacer, Swarovski crystal cream pearl, Fairytale bloom charm, Swarovski crystal pearl, Dazzling daisies spacer and Primrose silver clip.

Imitating Mr. G
Fox had a wonderful photo of Mr G on Instagram. I wondered how Fox managed to catch him so candidly. She said 'Patience'.
Well, this was just luck not patience. She was telling me 'How boring already!'.
