Hydrangea

This is my first Hydrangea plant and it has just bloomed. This is one of my favourite flowers. The flowers looks white, light green and light blue. I guess the soil in the pot may not be optimal and my balcony does not get much sun but to me, it still looks beautiful.

And one week later, it began to get more colour. I was quite amazed at how large it bloomed into and the plant is growing bigger. Will have to transplant it into a bigger pot soon.

  1. I was trying to remember what this plant is I have outside budding and that's it! Hasn't bloomed since I got it but I read that cold this time of year will keep it from blooming. We had nice weather and then it turned cold again so I guess no blooms this year either. I'll just have to admire yours!

  6. My mom has this plant in her garden and she has given me cuttings to pot but they died each time. I got this pot from the nursery and was surprised it is doing so well.

It is a lovely flower and I did not notice the details until I took the macro shot.

  7. Each summer I am sure to have a few arrangements with this flower.

Just look at that shape. Perfect inspiration for a tatter!

  8. Hi, do you know that the ph level of the soil will affect the colour of the flowers. If the soil is acidic, the flowers will turn pink. If the soil is alkaline the flowers will turn purplish blue. I like hydrangea too, I like plants that flowers. Regards.
