If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often.
I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.
How big did this turn out to be? I've considered tatting it but haven't. Very nice work! and yeah, the joins show but in Nature, little blips of color all over are not unusual. :-)
Hi Gina,It's about 3 by 4 inches. I haven't been doing onion rings the correct way either.
Wow, a 3 inch ladybug-- that must be the terror of aphids everywhere!I'm not sure, but it sounds like ball thread joins might be the same as slope and roll joins. Deb Arnold has instructions for both slope and roll and Catherine wheel joins at http://www.ds9designs.com/patterns_free.shtml; scroll all the way to the bottom to find the links.
looks huge but very cute!
Great ladybug! :)
Thanks Miranda for the link. I will look it up.Thank you Val and Sue.
That is really cute! I love ladybugs! Hey...send me an email and I'll give you a sneak preview of some kitty pics! They are so CUTE! ♥ ^..^ ♥ ^..^ ♥
A very nice ladybird! If You use it as appliqué on a bag or purse or something else, You could fix it at the red spots with black thread. Perhaps the red dots would become more invisible. But even with the additional red spots it is beautiful.Petra
