Hanky Edging #4
This is one I started weeks back. I chose it specially for a beautiful hanky which I bought. I did not want an edging pattern which showed any resemblance of flowers. I love flowers but not for this hanky. First edging in white and I wanted it to look elegant and pristine.
The pattern is Susanne Schwenke's from her Spitzen Ideen book on page 10. I made so many mistakes in the begining and had to untat. It was frustrating but I got the hang of it eventually. I used Milford Size 60 threads. I will photograph and show you the whole hanky soon.

You choose such beautiful edgings! I look forward to seeing this hanky completed.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane. Next hanky to edge is the one you sent me.
ReplyDeleteLovely edging and so elegant, I look forward to seeing the whole hanky.

So delicate and fresh! In size 60 this must be taking some extra time to finish, but it will be exquisite.
ReplyDeleteIt does look challenging to follow, but worth the effort. I look forward to seeing the finished hanky.
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks so nice! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice edging, all right.... Better check it out...
