Markisa

This is the flower of the passion fruit. I remember my uncle who made us the markisa drink from his homegrown fruits when we visited him. Some childhood memories are so vivid.

What a beautiful flower!

  3. At first glance, I thought you were tatting something unusual, rather like one of Martha's broomstick lace patterns. Do you have her Playing With Picots pattern book?

  4. I used to grow these in my greenhouse, it went mad and took over the whole greenhouse, lovely flowers, it's was name after the Christ rising from dying on the cross. It is said that there is a cross in the middle of the flower. I am not religious but that's what I was told about the flower

  5. Amazing to realize this is a real flower! It almost looks like a hairpin lace flower with beads, mimicking a fantasy flower that couldn't possibly exist! Nature is awesome!
