  3. It's looking great so far!

    Am I correct that Round 2 is all split rings. The first split ring joins (with a Lark's Head join) to Round 1 while tatting the first half of the ring (the flipped stitches), and the next two split rings have thrown-off rings on the 'unflipped' stitches, which is the second half of the ring.

    I have just practiced the technique (thanks to Jane Eborall's tutorial) and am amazed that it's even possible! Jane M has added all the modern tricks to create this amazing doily!

    1. Hi Kathy, No, I did not use the lark's head join so there is a blip in mine. It is an amazing pattern from Jane McLelland.

  4. You must have used a very good lens to take this picture. The sky is totally IN focus and the sun is sllightly out. Wow! I like the tension in your chains.

    1. I used my phone camera and it was not intentional that the sun is out of focus. It was probably not lying flat. Thanks Tally Tatty.
