If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often.
I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.
Am I correct that Round 2 is all split rings. The first split ring joins (with a Lark's Head join) to Round 1 while tatting the first half of the ring (the flipped stitches), and the next two split rings have thrown-off rings on the 'unflipped' stitches, which is the second half of the ring.
I have just practiced the technique (thanks to Jane Eborall's tutorial) and am amazed that it's even possible! Jane M has added all the modern tricks to create this amazing doily!
You must have used a very good lens to take this picture. The sky is totally IN focus and the sun is sllightly out. Wow! I like the tension in your chains.
Wonderful colors!! :) Looks like a great start! :)

Hi Kathy, No, I did not use the lark's head join so there is a blip in mine. It is an amazing pattern from Jane McLelland.

ReplyDeleteI used my phone camera and it was not intentional that the sun is out of focus. It was probably not lying flat. Thanks Tally Tatty.
