This is a pattern from Susanne Rolf on page 38 of her book Mustersammlung. The block tatting seemed too large for the overall motif. What do you think? This is tatted in Size 40 threads using up 3 metres of thread in each shuttle.
I agree with Gina - I saw it and loved it from the tiny photo on the blogroll. Maybe it just needs to be viewed from a distance to see the shape properly.
I think it's beautiful! The large block tatting seems to emphasize the rest of the design... very nice!
