Pearl Tatting

I thought it was about time I tried some pearl tatting. This is made into a simple necklace. It is for a friend who may want to wear it as it is or with a focal pendant. This is about 24 inches in length. I think I may make another one slightly shorter in a different colour thread and beads.
I love shopping for supplies and trying to match bead colours with the different variegated threads. This one is tatted in Lizbeth Berry Burst Size 40 with pearlescent Miyuki Delica beads (DB628).

  6. I attempted pearl tatting after refering to Mary Konior's diagrams of pearl tatting but I am sure you can find some instructions online. I think this is only one variation of pearl tatting.

  7. Gives me chills - I love it!!!

I think: 2 more of these in different lengths, would make a great trio (worn at the same time)!!
