If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often.
I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.
It was difficult to capture its beauty. Phalaenopsis blooms with banana leaves and stems. This was one of the exhibits in an orchid show I visited. The orchids at the show were just amazing.
Hello Wendy. Those flowers are very lovely. So fragile and unique. Thanks for sharing them. Your tatted butterflies are also beautiful. The windmill is also fantastic looking. You certainly create lovely art. Hugs judy
Hi CJ, Glad you are back. Thank you for your lovely compliments. I visited the show towards the end of the week so the flowers were a little wilted but it was still beautiful.
Hi Fox, I wish I was more patient with the photographing. I had my compact camera and it was indoors with many people visiting so I just took photos as I went. I have killed a few orchids in my lifetime.
Hi Lily, It was an amazing show and sorry I did not ask who or how long it took. But they are surely very creative and talented people out there.
Hi Gina, Come to think of it, I did not detect any fragrance. And yes, if you click on the photo and enlarge it you can see all the details of the rolled banana leaves and stems. We use to cut those banana stems in school and use it as a stamping tool for our art classes.
It really looks nice when you click on the pic to enlarge it. I can imagine the fragance is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWow, there are some really talented people out there, huh!?
ReplyDeleteJust like you with your tatting ;-)
do you know who put this together and/or how long it took??
Orchids are endlessly fascinating. I had a friend that grew them - almost a full time occupation! Very difficult to photograph...
