This pattern called Judith is on page 86 of Lyn Morton's Tatting Patterns. Why did I want to tat? It was because of its shape. Very seldom do I see oval shaped motifs in tatting. I think it will look even prettier in bright colours. I had some thread left over in my shuttle from the edging for the necklace. Thread used is the Lizbeth Size 20 in silver #506. Lovely motif. I agree that oval motifs seem quite rare, yet I love oval-shaped doilies.
