4 or 9 Spinning Wheels

What do you think? I want it in this general shape. Should I leave it at 4 or continue to 9 motifs? I showed you one spinning wheel here. Currently it is 7 by 5 inches. It was so much easier than tatting the first motif.

  1. I think it's very pretty as it is, but I'd go for the 9!

  4. Wow! It's really pretty as is, but I think I would go for nine (if I tatted quickly like you) because then you would see more of the secondary flower pattern which emerges when the wheels are joined.

  5. hmmm....with this many, it seems not quite done. But if you make 9, it's going to be quite large. I think the pattern will be more emphasized with 9 though.

  6. I love this shape.

I was wondering if you could do some kind of emphasis around this shape that would define the edge and note compete and yet make the piece seem more finished. Just a thought. Lovely work.

  8. You could see how nine would look with a bit of computer trickery. I think it would be lovely.

  10. Thank you all for your comments and your opinions. It does look unfinished. I think I will increase it but maybe later after I do Pear and Apple. I do sleep! It's just that I need to tat every night. You should have seen me trying to tat after a full day of stained glass class. My fingers were so sore but I still wanted to tat.
