I watch Korean Drama quite frequently. I was flipping channels one night on the cable tv and came across this. I was not following this series but was surprised to see tatting worn here. Quite elegant. She had the same black bracelet on the other wrist too. Sorry for the blurred photo as I had to quickly take a photo from the tv screen. The K drama is called Another Miss Oh.
If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often. I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.

Elizabeth Doily 3 Completed (LHO 9)
I have no choice but to stop tatting here, short of one row to completion. I did not realize how much thread I needed for this pattern. I used thread that I have no option to repurchase and I used up the ball. The only other colour I have in this thread is white but it would look strange. So it is completed. It ruffles a little and the rings of the 'spokes' are elongated from the blocking.
Tatted in Victor cotton thread #40 in cream, it measures 15 inches across. The pattern is from Lee Hye-oon's book Lovely Tatting Doilies for Spring and Summer on page 19.

Lilac Gladiolus
I have not seen this colour for gladiolus before. They are usually red, pink, white, yellow and orange. I saw these at a hotel lobby recently. So pretty!
I remember my mom made a flower arrangement for Sunday church service once. I think she paired them with spider orchids from her garden and the pink Honolulu creeper growing wild near our house. Amazing, what you choose to remember from childhood.

Picking Colours WIOSNA 2018
Have you seen Tat-ology Fox on Instagram? She is tatting Renulek's WIOSNA 2018 pattern in beautiful autumn colours. The last WIOSNA pattern I tatted was also influenced by Fox. That was in a variety of purples. You can see it here.
I think I am going to copycat Fox and tat one too. I had lots of fun picking out thread. I have 3 colour schemes for consideration. Will you help me choose? In each, I picked a variegated thread and chose other solid colours to compliment it.

At the National Museum of Singapore
These were 2 exhibits from the Signature Art Prize 2018 Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation. Top is a paper collage on Buddhist monk robes "Untitled ( Hua Lamphong)" by Thasnai Sethaseree from Thailand.
Below that is "The Infinite Episode" by Jitish Kallat, dental plaster sculptures of 20 sleeping animals from the different continents. The artist describes this as an animalian utopia.
Lunch at the Food for Thought cafe in the museum: Hawaiian Portobello Burger and Satay Beef Rice Bowl.
Wrought iron spiral staircase restored and relocated. It was once the only entry point to the roof of the building, supposedly haunted.
This is the swinging chandelier "Wings of a rich manouevre" by Suzann Victor. Read more about it here. Visit in the evening to see the lighting effect.

Lavender Doily 2 WIP 3 (LHO 10)
Tiny rings and chains. You cannot see the design element yet. Hopefully in the next rounds. Will I regret changing thread colours? I had to as the remaining thread would not be sufficient to finish the pattern.

Mother of Pearl Earrings
The last visit to the local bead shop, I found these earrings. I love mother of pearl and this mosaic MOP reminded me of the Pandora Essence charm. These earrings were sitting in the revolving showcase beckoning. I initially found it a little too blinding because of the crystals but I soon grew to love it so much that I could not resist adding it to my basket. The lady at the shop told me that they come ready made from South Korea.
I spent an hour at the bead shop browsing and shopping. What a lovely time!

Elizabeth Doily 3 WIP ( LHO 9)
It has been a little slow. Added only 2 rounds and it seemed never ending. That is what happens when there are many other tasks and distractions.

Pandora Bracelet of the Week 10
This is the Pandora Rose mesh bracelet stacked with the Freshwater pearl and ruby stretchy bracelet.
On the mesh bracelet is the Pandora Rose Pave heart clip, Her Majesty spacer with purple cubic zirconia, Pandora Rose Floating locket dangle with the pink LOVE petite locket charm.
I love the Pandora Rose Collection. You can change the petite charm inside the floating locket dangle. I do find that water gets into the locket when I wash my hands but it dries up after some time. Can't wait to get the Floating Locket ring too.
