Rose Mallow Version 2 (HMK 2)

It was difficult to get back to the momentum of tatting. After several false starts, this was finally done. Tatted in Lizbeth Size 20 Azalea Medium Col. 620. The motif measures 6 inches across. Hope the next Ha Mi-Kyoung project would be a breeze to tat. You really need a picot gauge with the required lengths, otherwise it is a little troublesome and fiddly to tat.

  4. I certainly wouldn't know you had any problems tatting this. And the number of picots would intimidate me! It's a very appealing design. I believe Sherry Pence is responsible for teaching Ha Mi-Kyoung to tat when Sherry was in Korea in 2009. It's quite a story, as there was no tatting in Korea until Sherry went there.

    1. I love the patterns in this book. I must say both Sherry and Mi-Kyoung are talented tatters and designers.

    1. I had to specially make a picot gauge with specific measurements as the one I usually use was not measured. If you look closely some picots were shorter than it should be, as I was trying to wing it. Sigh!
