It was difficult to get back to the momentum of tatting. After several false starts, this was finally done. Tatted in Lizbeth Size 20 Azalea Medium Col. 620. The motif measures 6 inches across. Hope the next Ha Mi-Kyoung project would be a breeze to tat. You really need a picot gauge with the required lengths, otherwise it is a little troublesome and fiddly to tat.
Beautiful, certainly has a few fiddly bits in it. Well done
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful! Worth any fiddle.
ReplyDeleteThe is so awesome!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're in the swing now! It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI certainly wouldn't know you had any problems tatting this. And the number of picots would intimidate me! It's a very appealing design. I believe Sherry Pence is responsible for teaching Ha Mi-Kyoung to tat when Sherry was in Korea in 2009. It's quite a story, as there was no tatting in Korea until Sherry went there.
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns in this book. I must say both Sherry and Mi-Kyoung are talented tatters and designers.
DeleteI totally agree with the need for a gauge and this one is one of my favorites I too have 2 false starts my favorite is that triangle shaped one and that is why I bought the book :) This one is a great beauty and love the color you have chosen!!
ReplyDeleteI had to specially make a picot gauge with specific measurements as the one I usually use was not measured. If you look closely some picots were shorter than it should be, as I was trying to wing it. Sigh!
DeleteThis is lovely. Your tatting is beautiful.
