Pebbled Walk

I took a number of photos of different paved walkways. This one is just pebbles. Difficult to walk on if you are in heels, so comfortable walking shoes are a must. The problem with comfortable shoes is that they are never in a fashionable design that goes with your wardrobe. What is your most comfortable walking shoe?

  3. I do like a bit of a heal to walk in. Fortunately, shoes made to dance in like "character shoes" fit the bill for me. But no, I don't wear them on hiking trails! I'd get too many odd looks!!!

  4. For me it would be Sketcher Shape-ups. I wear the athletic shoe version for casual wear, but I found some in a Mary Jane style that I wear to work with my suits. Not as dressy as heels, but far more comfortable when you must do a lot of walking.

  5. Hi Wendy
I hate cobbles and pebbles, my comfortable shoes are trainers which I wear in the winter. Hopefully it will get warmer so I can wear no tights and sandals.

  6. When I was young many moons ago, I wore very uncomfortable shoes that ( to me) looked good. A lot of high heeled sandals with casual slacks. Would wear tennis shoes sometimes. But now it's comfort all the way with clunky backless rounded toe shoes in winter and thick soled flip flops in summer. I can walk long distances now! Don't like to dress up anymore!

  7. Thank you all for your great responses. Comfort is key. Me, I wear my Scholls for walking but always willing to try something new if it is pretty.

  8. I am afraid I literally wear hiking shoes about 50% of the time, comfortable mule style shoes about 25%, and the remainder I am in stocking feet or occasionally a dressy shoe if we are going someplace special. Used to be quite the opposite, but I must keep up with a 4 year old and haven't the time/desire to deal with the inability to walk fast enough to keep up with her.

  9. Ziera - they are blissful, and you don't have to sacrifice comfort for fashion.
