Backchat (MK#19)

Why is this called Backchat? I used Tatskool's HDT called ChocoRaspberry. The colour is so lovely. Thank you, Tatskool. I was hoping this colour would match the cherry blossoms in the PTG's quilt block which I have adopted. How would this look on that lime green fabric next to the blossoms? I'm really not sure about this. Would black be a better choice on that lime green?

  1. I love that you are tatting all these MK motifs and snippets! They look entirely new to me and make me want to open my books and tat my own! Great inspiration.

  2. oh, also wanted to say that maybe backchat refers to the back of the flowers being up against each other, as if they are having a conversation.

  3. I am so glad, Gina and thank you for the 'backchat'. I was wondering why it had such a name.

  4. You are right, this is a great HDT and it will be perfect on the lime green. I think it will compliment the cherry blooms very nicely.

I'm hoping you'll share your block with us when you get it completed.

  5. I am so enjoying watching all the Mary Konior Motifs fall off your shuttle, a real treat. You make my thread look beautiful, thank you.

  6. Your backchat is so lovely, and I think it would make a lovely scalloped edging, if only the pattern were continuous. Not sure it can be done.

Tatting individual motifs would grow tiresome (well, at least for me). But you have done a terrific job with your Choco-Raspberry posies!

  7. Thanks Bonnie. Yes, I will post it when it is done.

Tatskool, your HDT colours are just so pretty.

Isdihara, I sometimes wonder what to do with these individual tatted motifs but I am so focused on trying out the patterns, I don't worry about it.

  8. Umi You don't have to do anything with them, it's the enjoyment in doing them that matters.
