Filet Panel WIP
I was amazed with Jane's project of filet crochet and remembered that Mary Konior had a filet pattern in her 'Tatting with Visual Patterns' book. So I had to give it a try. I added an extra row in between the diamonds because I wanted them separated. It is quite slow going for me but I am thrilled with its progress. According to Mary Konior, you can adapt any filet crochet pattern into tatting using this method.

ReplyDeleteI like that you added the extra row in between. It does give it the distinction of seeing the pattern much better. This would make a very nice side panel for the narrow window along side of my front door. I shall put it on my "to do list".
ReplyDeleteI had to do this for the TAT course and I did NOT like it one bit! I found it difficult.

Very pretty! I've done plenty of filet crochet, but the tatting seems like it would take me way too long. It would be interesting to adapt a crochet pattern to tatting. Hhhhmmm.
