Anne Bruvold's SSSR Angel

I admit I did not use the single shuttle split ring (SSSR) technique, instead I tatted using two shuttles with split rings and the self closing mock ring (SCMR). I love the little angels. Done in Size 40 and 60 threads.

I first saw this Anne Bruvold pattern when Marie gave me a tatted angel. Marie and I exchanged blinged shuttles last year and she sent me this little angel which I used to decorate mom's tree last year. See this post here. I think I will make a few more to include in Christmas cards or gift tags.

  1. Gorgeous, I love the pattern and your angels.
Thank you for your comments on my blog, I will be home on monday and will catch up soon

  2. So happy you liked the small Angel - it's one of my favorites to make and give. I'm making more of them this year again. I can't wait to see your Mom's tree with all the snowflakes that you have been tatting for her this year. I know she will just love it! Please remember to show us a picture.

  3. These angels are SO sweet! I have found the pattern which Ann generously shared back in 2009. I"m hoping to make them for Christmas. I will also try the two-shuttle split rings instead of the single-shuttle split rings. Thanks for reminding us of this pattern!

  4. Hi, do you know if the pattern is available for purchase?

  5. Hi Robin, The pattern is available from Anne's site. I just included the link in the post for you. Happy Tatting.
