I am really happy with this one as I love the colour combination and the pattern turned out great. I used Flora Size 20 threads in Colour # 208, #211 and #234.
This is Rosemarie Peel's Celtic Brooch from her book "Tatting for Pleasure". A stick is needed to make it a brooch / scarf clip / hair clip. Because of its size (1.5 x 1.25 inches), I am thinking of a food pick either made of bone or shell or wood or plastic. Would it work?
Very Pretty! I like your color combination too. I like this motif and Rosemaria's other celtic motif also.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great brooch! It seems very complicated!
ReplyDeletelooks very pretty but complicated. i'm not sure i can tat this myself. LOL you did a great job with this, wendy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I think this is the only pattern I tatted from this book until recently. A food pick would work as well as a an ornate hat pin as long as you have a stopper on the pointy end to keep from poking yourself.
ReplyDeletePretty neat motif! And I love your color choices! :)
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so well, and the colours just pop!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pretty pattern, and the colors you've used look like roses.
ReplyDeleteLove this pattern - very pretty in the chosen threads.
ReplyDeleteFox : )
Hi Carol, God's Kid, Suztats, Miranda and Fox,
ReplyDeleteSomehow these colours just go together. We should get more inspiration from nature, don't you think?
Hi Tattingrid and Val,
The pattern is really easy to follow. It just looks complicated.
Hi Gina,
Thank you for reminding me of a stopper. I did not think of that.
