Happy New Year 2010

I wish you all a good year ahead. May it be a blessed one.

I hope you like this tatted blue pansy.
I tatted this during one of my tatting classes back in 2006 and just found it in one of my storage tins. The leaves are done using a ring with various picots. It is then joined by crocheting a chain through all the picots. Petals are done in a similar fashion.

  2. You remind me that my grandmother loved these flowers (pensees which is French for thoughts). In the language of flowers, it means remembering or thinking of the person to whom you sent the flowers.
I wish for you and yours a New Year 2010 filled with happiness, health, prosperity, and plenty of time to enjoy it all.

  6. Thank you for all your best wishes. I love pansies and although it did not have the right number of petals, I called it a pansy.

HJ, I did not know it was pensees in French. Thanks for the info.

Val, the threads were Perle cotton remnants from my tatting teacher. Sorry I did not note the colours. I always love blue flowers. Whenever possible I try to sew or make blue roses also.
