Tatted cross bookmark

Last Christmas, I made some crosses from Elizabeth's pattern. I decided to see whether by joining a split ring tail, it would make a bookmark. Perhaps it is not stiff enough.

  1. It's lovely! I don't think a bookmark needs to be "stiff".

  2. It's lovely! I'd never met a stiff tatted bookmark! The only stiff one's I've ever had are made out of material that is already stiff. Goodness, some people even use ribbons for bookmarks which are VERY ...ummmm.... NOT stiff! LOL! I think it's nice the way it is! :)

  4. hey i'd been thinking about the same question -- whether bookmarks should be stiff. but after tatting and giving away a few for exchanges, and receiving a few... i think tatted bookmarks are so refreshing (from the paper-card ones i had) and they serve their purpose all the same.

the tatted cross bookmark is pretty. happy valentine's, wendy.
