Singapore buildings

I was passing by in a bus the other day and noticed how this building in the right background had an interesting profile. I love how each apartment had some sort of balcony with plants and how each cubby hole jutted out. In the foreground are old shophouses.

Mermaid dotee exchange

This is my mermaid dotee which I received from Robin. It arrived last week. When I opened up the package, Umi and Tsuru had a fun time checking it out. They love the hair. Thank you Robin.

Tatted bunnies for Easter

Happy Easter!

Tatted bunnies in different colours and thread sizes. They are available for exchange; for something that you have made. Just leave a comment or an e-mail and tell me which one you want for the exchange. The white bunny is 3 inches and yellow bunny is 2 inches. The other bunnies are about 2.5 inches in size.

Easter Dotee Exchange

This Easter dotee is from Becky. It arrived on Monday but I did not have time to photograph it. Isn't she pretty. I love the pearls and the yellow chick. She also included a pair of earrings with Tennessee sandstone and a lovely card with a cat. She knows I love earrings and cats. Thank you Becky.

Princess Olivia

Princess Olivia has hatched and flown the coup. She flew off to her new nest yesterday evening. I hope she will keep her new owner warm and cosy. She's made with Thai silk, Delica beads, Czech pressed glass beads, plastic flower beads and tiny sequins with a little pewter crown.

Marin the pink mermaid

I made Marin the pink mermaid for another exchange. She's in the post today. I had a hard time turning her inside out because of her slim and narrow form. She has two little tatted spiral shells and a sequinned tail. Her pink hair is long and uncontrolled. Imagine her swirling around the blue green waters in the Straits of Johor.

Tatted eggs

I'm experimenting with different colour combinations. There is also a bad egg among the bunch. I must have been half asleep when I was tatting it. Can you pick it out?

Trailing Periwinkle

The Madagascar periwinkle in Singapore is normally an upright plant, semi-woody and is free flowering. I have never seen a trailing periwinkle so when I saw this in the nursery, I wanted it. I bought it in early January and its been flowering non-stop since then. I have done some cuttings and they are doing well.
