Stawasz Doily III Motif x4
Yes, its done. Four of the motifs makes a nice square. While blocking I found a mistake. I wonder if there are more. I like the neutral colour of Lizbeth Size 40-690 Light Mocha Brown. Colour would probably give it a different look too.
Very beautiful and striking, and the middle circle formed by the cloverleafs plus the open spaces are all very appealing. I love that it's only four motifs with 'easy' joins. There are no obvious errors that I can see at a quick glance.
Well, I am guessing that the mistake is in the one group of picots that you didn't starch - it seems to be one picot short. But it looks really lovely - I never would have found that error without your highlighting it!
I'm also starting on something by Jan Stawasz - my first one, at last. For me, the picots are a significant part of the difficulty of his designs.
Hi Grace, I know which group of picots you are referring to - they are all present. The mistake I am talking about is a ring that is missing some stitches - closed it too soon.
It's quite beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA very wonderful square!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI know I sound like a broken record but this is another really nice one !

DeleteWell, it's awfully hard to spot... :-)
DeleteThat looks beautiful, lovely pattern, which book was it in.
ReplyDeleteI would not worry about the mistake it's unquie to you
Margaret
Hi Margaret, It is in the second book - Tatted Treasures.
DeleteIt is very well made. Love the graded picots and the color.
ReplyDeleteJan's graduated picots are much nicer, refer to the photo in the book.
DeleteIndeed, this color gives a very sophisticated lace. I like very much, bravo!
