Kurbatskaya Challenge - WIP 5
This round is done and I am liking this doily a little better. I rather enjoyed tatting this round. Right now it measures about 10 inches across. Next round is a single row of split rings and then more stars. Lots of cuts and ties. I am not sure if I want to tat this any further as it is just repeats of elements here just to make it larger. It's done!!
I think you are right, it looks lovely as it is, more stars and rings yes it would be bigger but would it distort the loveliness of the pattern. Margaret
Congrats! It is beautiful! : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a craftmanship! A superb piece of tatting! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIt looks splendid! Good idea to leave it as it is.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful daily. Very unique. Love the arches.

ReplyDeleteVery attractive as is! Karen in OR
ReplyDeleteWow this is good and I am little confused, are you making this up, or where is this pattern found?
ReplyDeleteNo, I am not making it up as I tat. This is a pattern found in this book http://umintsuru.blogspot.sg/2014/01/russian-book-by-kurbatskaya.html
DeleteIt definitely looks complete to me! So unusual with those 'twisted' picots and wide scalloped edge! Beautiful color, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely! A very distinctive doily.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your comments. It isn't as difficult as it looks.
