Bridge Pattern No. 29
Using Lizbeth Size 40 Col. 115 Springtime and Col. 158 Niagara Falls to tat this pattern. An unusual colour combination as I was feeling adventurous. It turned out ok? I think a solid colour thread would enhance the design of this motif as photographed in the Japanese pattern book.
Thank you. I've discovered that Japanese tatters use the term 'bridge' for what Western tatters call a chain. This can be confusing, as bridging is constructed differently in Western designs.
It looks fabulous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. This was very easy and fun.
DeleteVery interesting design, again. In which book did you say these 'bridge' designs are found?
ReplyDeleteThe patterns are in a Japanese pattern book Tatting Lace (ISBN978-4-02-190833-0).

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I have never thought of putting those two colours together and it works
