Happy 55th AAA

A mango cake for AAA which was eaten a week earlier.
Who can resist cake?

What happens when you turn 55?

In Singapore it means you can withdraw your CPF savings after you leave a designated amount for retirement.

It also means you need to get a new identity card made with a recent photo. How different we must look when the ID card was issued.

To some organizations, you are a senior citizen but to some others, not until you turn 60.

With some employers, you have to retire.
With others, you can work till you are 67.

What is in a number?
Isn't it just how old you feel?
On some days you feel 20, on other days 120.
Yet on many occasions, you wish you were 35 again.

Whatever the age, as long as you are healthy and happy.

  1. Looks yummy,
In the uk the retirement age is being put up and up, I actually retired officially this week, it used to be 60 for women and 65 for men, I am in the period of the change over dates, hence I had to wait three years and nine months to get my pension. Now women and men retire at the same age which is 67 but it's going up again to 68 in a few more years and then up again to perhaps 70. At this rate those starting work now may never retire and will stop when they die.
I think I perfer your country at least you can retire when you want to.
