This pattern is from the book Tatted Fashion by Teiko Fujito. Tatted in Lizbeth Size 40 threads in Col. 700 English Rose Medium and Col. 697 Fudge Dark. A perfect size for a coaster. Someone mentioned to me recently that it is too pretty to put a mug or glass on it. Do you think so?
Pretty motif, but I think a bit lacy for a coaster. Perhaps a thicker thread would be more appropriate!?

ReplyDeleteIf not at the bottom of a glass, one can use it on the top --- sew it to organza or some similar fabric & use as a decorative glass cover ;-D

ReplyDeleteI love the rose and fudge together! I wouldn't put my coffee mug on my coaster, because I can be a bit messy. However, my glass of water wouldn't bother me at all. What's the point of making something if you're not going to use it? I want my tatting to be enjoyed, not packed away where no one can see it.
