Umi

No longer by my side but forever in my heart.

Dear Umi,

Tsuru is still jealous of you.
Comes running whenever I call your name.
Shhhh . . .  don't tell her,
it is now my trick to get her to come to me.
She is clueless.

  4. Very sorry for your loss, Wendy. Is Tsuru really jealous, or just comforting you ? I'm sure it's the latter ... cats can tell & care, even though they pretend as if they are not really as social as dogs !

  5. Umi passed away 3 years ago. I write a post every year on that day to remember her,

Thank you Fox, Tsuru makes me smile. She does!
Thank you Margaret. I know you meant cat.
Thank you Sue for your e-mail.
Thank you Tattrldy. Umi is missed.
Thank you Muskaan, Tsuru is a comfort but I do not think she knows that she is. Tsuru does behave more like a dog than a cat. She is a darling.

  6. Time goes by so quickly. Tomorrow marks the day I lost my first cat, Olliver, my so very special buddy and partner in all sorts of adventures. He was one year old when I got him and very, very ill. He lived to be 14. Every day he accompanied the postman on the mail's journey up our street. I found this out a few years after it was ongoing from the mailman. Ollie was such a character. I still miss him. And he was beautiful. A long-haired green-eyed Tabby. We never forget, do we...

    1. Thank you. The second photo reminds me of a leopard sunning itself on a rock.
