Planting Vegetables

I love to eat this but only certain supermarkets sell it. So after removing the leaves for preparing the soup, I planted the stems in my balcony garden. It is growing long and spindly as it does not get enough sun to grow. It is a climber and if you do not cut it back it will twine around the iron grilles of the balcony. This vegetable is called Malabar Spinach. See the cooked soup here.

  1. that is a pretty plant with the pink/red stem.
It is always nice when you can grow your own food, both a sense of accomplishment, and you know how the plant(s) have been treated - no chemicals. and clean

  2. It's nice to be able to grow a few bits on a balcony, hope it starts to really grow well on your balcony.
