Oxalis
This is Oxalis corniculata with yellow flowers. This photo was taken in a Singapore garden (not mine). I think I remember seeing this in mom's garden. Mom gave me the other one called purple shamrock. It is in my balcony but isn't presentable for a photo. Not yet!
We do have another Oxalis which is a weed here in Singapore. It has much smaller light green leaves with tiny yellow flowers. I once picked it up from a carpark and potted it. It was pretty until its seedpods started exploding dispersing its seeds all over. It then became too much when it got stuck to the low ceiling.
Oh, so THAT's what that pesky 'weed' is that grows in my garden. Thanks, Umintsuru. One man's plant is another woman's weed!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bloom!
