Cold Tofu
This is the yakko tofu (Japanese soft tofu) which is eaten cold. I added sliced century egg and dressed it with soy sauce and sesame oil. I had this with cold soba noodles. It isn't everyone's favourite but I know someone who would love to share this with me.
Count me among the tofu haters, but I am intrigued by the "century eggs." Have never seen them before. Are they marinated in something to make them that dark color?
I love your blog! I French learn something new! Thanks for the link. One thing it didn't mention is the availability of these eggs. Can you get them at a regular grocery store there or is it a special trip? Are they very expensive?
Hi Michelle, Yes, you can find them in normal grocery stores in Singapore. Maybe in Asian grocery stores in US. And it does not cost much, about double that of normal eggs.

ReplyDeleteIsDihara, I added the link for the info on century eggs. It isn't everyone's cup of tea.
