Martha paid attention to such small details when creating these patterns and they all look so true to form. Thank you Martha.

Those owls turned out really lovely and I love the colour of the second owl!
ReplyDeleteWonderful owls!! You did a great job!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed seeing your bookmarks, I especially like how you are making the tails on all of them. I'm going to have to try that some time, any tips?
ReplyDeleteHello Wendy I love your tatted Owls. LOVE them. I will have to look up this new thread you are talking about. Are the Owls, bookmarks??? Hugs Judy
ReplyDeleteThe owls were fun to tat. Yes they are bookmarks but you can use it any way you like.
ReplyDeleteThe tails are done using split rings and spiral tatting (2nd half of the double stitch). Using two shuttles, I wind about 1.5meters of thread on each shuttle, tat a stretch of spiral using the 1st shuttle, 3 split rings and spiral again using the 2nd shuttle. This way you use the same amount of thread from each shuttle.
Hi there...! You sure have some very adorable tatted items in here. I just love that little owl of yours, but have never made one myself yet, so...is that pattern your? I'd sure love to make one...hint, hint!!
ReplyDeleteAre they from a pattern book or is it your own design? They are adorable.
