Hanky Edging #5 WIP Progress
I have started round 2 of this pattern. Yes, it is Mary Konior's Josephine from her Tatting Patterns book. Those are Josephine knots, hence the name. The pattern states 10 half stitches but I thought 15 half stitches made the JKs more pronounced and easier to close since this thread is Size 60.
I just realized you attached the first round directly to the hanky! I would think that's difficult to do - holding the handkerchief whle tatting! Looking great so far!
Beautiful edging, yes I also think 15ds looks better with such fine thread.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful pattern, and the enlarged Josephine knots fit very well.

Your edging looks really nice! :)
ReplyDeleteI am amazed that you are working size 60 so fluidly (I shouldn't be amazed at all) without going blind!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love working in size 60 but have found it difficult to acquire.
Your work has a gossamer grace and noble elegance about it. Beautiful!
I like the effect of the open centers of the JKs in this edging. Great choice.
