More Tatted Hairpins

I followed the pattern from Nancy Tracy's magnolia centres and wanted to add some beads for these. The round filigree bases were easier to tat into. They were tatted sometime back but I forgot to post them. Which one is your favourite?

  1. All three are so pretty, how could anyone choose between them? Your tatting is always so lovely!

  2. They're all lovely so it's hard to choose a favorite! Maybe the blue one is slightly more wonderful.

  4. These are so sweet! I have shirts to match each of those colors...hint, hint...LOL. I like them all, but especially I like how the beads are added on the last round of the pink one.

  7. The wonderful thing about the blogs is in sharing ideas. Nancy Tracy's wonderful pattern has been given another identity here!

The wonderful filigree elements available to us today are so helpful in giving tatting some structure plus an extra design element. Elizabeth Zipay back in the '90s used the filigrees as backings for her exquisite tatted jewelry, and I always admired that idea. The filigree pieces were difficult to come by back then!

You have taken ordinary hairpins and made them very special! A real winner! I really can't choose - they're all so appealing!

  12. I think the pink one had the most votes. I am doing a surprise giveaway here. The random number generator picked 5 (Lenhen), 8 (Kathy) and 6 (Tatting-Marie). I am going to tat each of you a hairpin with the pink design, but in your choice of colours. Just let me know your colour preference and your mailing address.
