Angeline 's Travelling Book Adventure - All-In-One Square
This pattern is called All-in-One-Square of Easy Insertion found on page 190 of the book. I started with the black square then decided on the white one. Unfortunately I ran out of the Milford Size 40 white so I have to get more to continue. . . . or I could tat them in other colours.
This was tatted in one round using only shuttle thread. I think I left too large a gap in between the rings but I did try to keep it consistent throughout so it does look less compact than the picture in the book. Do you see the 'four-leaf clover' in the negative space in the centre?
I am thrilled to see a pattern tatted from Angeline's book!
ReplyDeleteYou are the twelfth person to receive the book and the first to post something tatted from it!
I would not have seen the negative space had you not pointed it out. I wonder how far you will go with this pattern.
Also, of all the patterns to choose from, is it curious that you chose this one. I could not decide amongst the many when I had the book; therefore, I have not yet tatted anything from the book.
Thanks for this post!
Fox : )
Cool! I didn't see the clover until you mentioned it and I looked for it.
ReplyDeleteGreat motifs! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Fox,
ReplyDeleteI chose this pattern because I thought it was interesting with all rings forming a square. It reminded me of Mary Konior's small butterfly pattern where she used all rings too http://umintsuru.blogspot.com/2010/03/butterfly-mk22.html
Hi Gina,
I noticed it from the photo in the book. I thought it was a pinwheel but after tatting it, mine looked more like a four leaf clover.
Hi God's Kid,
Thank you for always taking the time to leave a comment.
yes, I see the clover. I love the contrast!
