This is one of my favourite local dishes. You normally have it for breakfast. This was brunch in Malaysia when I was visiting mom in June. I love this and must have it whenever I'm home. Although you can find it here in Singapore, it is slightly different.
If you love tatted lace, jewellery, plants and anything handcrafted, come back often. I will regularly post items that are made by me, plants that I grow and interesting things that I photograph.

Shuttle for Exchange - Pink Butterfly
I sent out all 3 giveaway packages yesterday to Tara, Robert and Grovenore. I'm hoping that it will arrive safe and without any huge delays.
Now, this little pink shuttle with white butterflies is up for an exchange. You can send me one that is blinged/decorated or unblinged. If you have a Sew Mate pointed tip shuttle, that is preferred. I love those shuttles.
If you like to take part in this exchange, just leave a comment here and contact me via e-mail with your mailing details. First to indicate will get this shuttle.
I will bling more shuttles for exchange. So even if you are not the first to indicate, at least I will know how many people are interested to do another shuttle exchange. Do note that comment moderation is activated.

Winners of 1000th Post Giveaway
I know some of you left kind wishes and asked not to be included in the giveaway, but the unwritten rule here is that if you comment on a giveaway post, you are in the draw, I'm afraid. And . . . all past giveaway winners are encouraged to participate and win, again and again.

Magnolia Blooming
The magnolia petals fold spirally into a bud. It is a blooming magnolia. This magnolia is a little larger about 2.5 inches across, I tatted it again using a larger sized thread. In this colour, it could also pass off as a lotus bud.

1000th post
Just leave a comment here on how you will use this piece of tatting and I will use the random number generator to pick three names on 19 Nov 2010.
Using the randon number generator, the first name drawn wins the white magnolia with the darker pink shuttle, 2nd name drawn wins the variegated yellow magnolia with the white shuttle, and 3rd name drawn - the pink magnolia with the light pink shuttle. The back of the shuttle is also blinged but you will have to win the shuttle to have a peek.
