Merry Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas! I am spending this Christmas with family. I hope you are too.

This tatted tree slants perhaps due to the blocking or it could be due to the different types of thread that I used. But I thought this would be an appropriate tatting for today.

Tsuru on the laundry basket

This is darling Tsuru lounging on the laundry basket on top of my pair of jeans. When she finds a favourite spot, it's hers for a couple of weeks. She sleeps there a lot. If she is there, Umi will lie more comfortably next to me on the sofa.

I posted this and two kind people Katie and Beelizabeth helped me find the name of this pattern, I finally figured out how this is done. Tatted Bookmarks for Julie

These bookmarks are for Julie Riley. I hope she likes them. I tatted them in her favourite colours blue green (Anchor Perle Cotton 8 in #1345) and sunset colours (Anchor Perle Cotton 8 in #1315). I much prefer the shape of the leaves here. The last one I made was a little roundish. Pattern for the leaves are by Ruth Perry as I listed here. Photos were taken without blocking. I am blocking them now and it should be better. Julie, do send me your addy and it should fly off to you soon.
