Tatted green hummingbird
This is my first try at tatting this hummingbird pattern by Sherry Matthews. It is still missing its distinctive long beak which I have yet to make but you can see that it is a bird. I had to do a lot of unpicking because I kept reading the pattern wrong. I finally finished the body, wings and tail. I am going to try tatting it in another colour combination and see how it looks, maybe dark grey and blue.
Hi Wendy~ Your hummingbird is incredible!!! Please show the other ones as you complete them. Oh, by the way, your pictures of Singapore are beautiful. I enjoy your blog each day. Blessings, Lana
Thank you Lana. I will post the hummingbirds as they are ready. I am so pleased that you enjoy my photos of Singapore. There are many interesting buildings. I haven't had time to photograph them.
I just discovered this beautiful blog. I love all of the tatting and darling little dolls, especially Princess Olivia who combines both. The hummingbird is spectacular.
